Shockwave axles are made from seamless cold drawn steel for better wall thickness consistency and axial flex characteristics, and finished using the finest centerless grinding techniques. There is no straighter axle anywhere. Axles are engraved with letters representing the grade for easy organization.

Shockwave 40mm axles are available in six grades, listed below with their respective wall thicknesses and the letter engraved on them: The hard and medium axles have identical thicknesses but are made from slightly different materials to differentiate axle grade.

Hard (H) – 3.3mm wall
Medium (M) – 3.3mm wall
Soft (S) – 2.75mm wall
Very Soft (VS) – 2.5mm wall
Ultra Soft (US) – 2.1mm wall
Ridiculously Soft (RS) – 1.75mm wall

These six axles are all 1040mm long and require Pegged Key (size C).

The Super Sportsman axle requires Pegged Key (size C) while the 4-cycle Special requires Key (size A).
