Celebrating 50 Years of the MINI

The MINI was officially launched on August 26, 1959, and became an instand megastar of the 20th century's brightest decade and a true icon of motoring history.

Introduced to the world as the darling of the Swinging Sixties, the MINI evolved into a racing champion, dominating the rally scene of the late 1960s, and has now set the standard in 21st century cool urban transport; the diminutive MINI really has made it BIG.

The MINI has changed in many ways over the past 50 years but the obsession with the car continues.
