History

This North American Racing Team (NART) Ferrari 412P raced in the 1967 Le Mans 24 hour, driven by Pedro Rodriguez and Giancarlo Baghetti. The car failed to finish the race having retired with a broken piston. Originally a P3 car, Chassis No. 0844 was converted several times in its life to various specification and colours as there were very few of this type made.

The car’s career followed the famous races of the day. In 1966, as a P3, it was raced in the Monza 1,000km (Surtees/Parkes, 1st), the Spa 1,000km (Parkes/Scarfiotti, 1st) and at Le Mans (Bandini/Guichet, DNF).

In 1967 it was updated to 412 spec. and raced in the Daytona 24 Hours (Rodriguez/Guichet, 3rd), the Monza 1,000km (DNF), Le Mans (Rodriguez/Baghetti, DNF). The car was then converted to a Can Am.
